Protecting children
While reading the article about District 303 parents protesting the mask mandate, two statements stood out to me. First, a parent held up a sign that said "End the child abuse." Then another parent called the mandate a charade. Not sure which is more ridiculous, so let's call it a tie.
Then in today's paper, a parent told the Johnsburg school board "Our kids don't need to be protected against coronavirus. They need to be protected from Gov. Pritzker and the state school board."
Wow, this takes the "most-ridiculous-thought award" hands down. I truly hope that all of the children of these parents turn out to be more socially responsible than their parents are. Odds are pretty good, because they set a low bar for them.
