Suburban industrial buildings sold and leased

ELK GROVE VILLAGE - Brown Commercial Group said it has negotiated the sale of several commercial buildings, as well as lease transactions, totaling 24,737 square feet in Chicago's suburban industrial market.

Mextel Inc., a telecommunications company based in Bensenville, has purchased a two-unit, 12,400-square-foot building at 135-139 Joey Drive in Elk Grove Village. The company plans to occupy one of the units as a secondary location and lease the other unit to an existing tenant. RCM Leasing LLC sold the building. Brown Commercial Group partner Trinity Scurto represented the buyer.

In addition, Brown broker Collin Tyrrell negotiated a 5,760-square-foot industrial acquisition for Xanadu Builders Inc. at 637 Frazier Ave., Unit 5, in Elgin. Dan Brown, president of Brown Commercial Group, represented the landlord.

Brown broker Candace Scurto represented two businesses negotiate recent leases. The Playground Games, a fast-growing party rental business, signed a 3,497-square-foot lease at 170 Shepard Ave., Unit F, in Wheeling. New Fasteners Are Here, an industrial business, leased 3,080 square feet of distribution space at 490 Bonnie Lane in Elk Grove Village.
