Bartlett Police Department takes third in Traffic Safety Challenge

On Friday, Aug. 20, the Bartlett Police Department was presented with the 2020 Illinois Traffic Safety Challenge's third-place award in the municipal police agency 51-65 police officers category at the 28th Annual Illinois Traffic Safety Challenge Awards Breakfast, which is sponsored by the Illinois Association of Chiefs of Police.

The Illinois Traffic Safety Challenge is an innovative traffic safety awards program for law enforcement agencies to identify traffic issues, plan strategies, reduce social harm and improve the quality of life in their communities.

The Illinois Traffic Safety Challenge recognizes the best overall traffic safety programs in Illinois and provides law enforcement agencies with an opportunity to make a significant difference in the communities they serve.

It targets four major traffic safety priorities: occupant protection, speeding, distracted driving and impaired driving.
