Cary pool 'Last Splash' party Sept. 4

Cary Park District residents are invited to say farewell to the Community Center Pool during the "Last Splash" party Sept. 4.

The pool will be retired after more than 40 years, while the new Outdoor Aquatic Center will open in summer 2022 at Cary-Grove Park. "Last Splash" will be 12:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the pool, 255 Briargate Road, Cary.

There will be music played by a DJ, and attendees can purchase treats from a funnel cake truck. Raffles prizes include a ride to school on a fire truck for a student and a friend, a $50 Mary Kay shopping spree, a family photography package, a platter of cookies and a round of golf at Foxford Hills Golf Club. Tickets are on sale at the Community Center for $1 each, 7 for $5, and 12 for $10. All raffle proceeds will go toward Cary Park Foundation Swim Scholarships.

Information on the "Last Splash" and the new Outdoor Aquatic Center can be found at carypark.com.
