Gerald Auto Group helps extend the fun after Arranmore polo games
Arranmore Farm + Polo Club was thrilled to again offer its beloved Wine Down Wednesday events as well as their "Flatbed Concert Series," which were brought to the community by Gerald Ford and Nissan of North Aurora, throughout the summer.
Last year, COVID restrictions limited the number of events the Club could have, but the summer of 2021 brought these family-friendly and entertaining evenings back to one of Oswego's premier outdoor event venues.
Arranmore Farm + Polo Club is situated on 300 pristine acres and provides a stunning background for many occasions, including these community-focused events.
"We were so excited to have this event after needing to pause in 2020. We were able to bring this event back as a safe, family-friendly, casual midweek break to sit outside and enjoy the summer nights at Arranmore," said Shannon Greene Robb, president of Arranmore Farm + Polo Club.
Select Wine Down Wednesdays were paired with the "Flatbed Concert Series." The final event on Aug. 4 broke records for attendance with more than 90 cars. (Events on Aug. 11 and 18 were canceled because of field conditions.)
These events are the epitome of the ultimate tailgating experience, during which Arranmore opens a late afternoon polo match to the public and cars can pull right up to the field so attendees won't miss any of the action. Families can also bring blankets, folding tables and chairs and enjoy a picnic while taking in a spirited match and then stay for a Flatbed Concert. It's a wonderful opportunity for favorite musicians from the Arranmore family to keep the party going once the match has finished with a special set of up-close and personal jams, from a super cool stage, set in the back of a beautiful Gerald pickup truck. This BYOB event allowed families to mix up their dining experience by bringing a combination of favorite foods and spirits, all while being thoroughly entertained throughout the evening.
While admission fees certainly help cover the Flatbed Concert Series, events like these are not possible without the support of local entities like Gerald Ford and Nissan of North Aurora. Gerald Auto Group has been one of Arranmore's longest supporters, and their sponsorship goes directly to the Flatbed Concert artists to provide entertainment to the community.
"We're thrilled that Arranmore Farm + Polo Club was able to host more public events this summer. We're honored to support an event that brings the community together, supports local artists, and gives people the opportunity to enjoy an evening outdoors at a beautiful venue," said Donna Lawler, Vice President of Gerald Auto Group.
