Wauconda Township 'Recycling Extravaganza' set for Aug. 28

The 9th annual Recycling Extravaganza will be held from 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Aug. 28 at the Wauconda Township facility, 505 W. Bonner Road, Wauconda.

Accepted items include electronics and televisions of all sizes, cellphones, bicycles, fire extinguishers, prescription drugs, medical needles, air conditioners, microwaves and more. Furniture, paint, gasoline and large appliances will not be accepted.

Document shredding also will be available.
