Inverness Golf Club to add pickleball courts and more
Inverness Golf Club plans to expand its facilities with a building addition that will include paddle and pickleball courts, indoor golf simulators, a sports bar, an "ultracasual" dining room, a new meeting room and a lounge with enhanced Wi-Fi where members can work remotely before and after enjoying time at the club.
"Pickleball is actually one of the fastest growing sports in the country," club General Manager and Chief Operating Officer William Skelnik said in an announcement of the plans. "We will really be changing the nature of the club with these additions, both in terms of the activities offered and the range of dining options. It will provide a dynamic range of services for our members."
The golf club currently offers golf, tennis, swimming, junior programs, dining, and family events to members. The new addition will make activities available to members throughout the entire year.
Groundbreaking will be Aug. 24 with opening scheduled for early 2022.
