No injuries in Palatine grocery store fire

No injuries were reported after fire broke out Tuesday night on the roof of a Palatine grocery store.

Palatine firefighters responding at 8:23 p.m. to reports of a fire at Eurofresh, 130 W. Northwest Highway, discovered the blaze originating in an air conditioning unit on the roof, Deputy Fire Chief Scott Mackeben said.

Flames were contained to the unit and put out by a fire extinguisher. Mackeben said damages were minor.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation and no nearby businesses were damaged.
