Women's health clinic with ties to Roman Catholic Church proposed in Wheeling

Wheeling's plan commission will meet Wednesday night to discuss a proposal for a women's health clinic on the 100 block of North Wolf Road.

A Chicago-based nonprofit group called Aid for Women wants to open the center, which primarily would focus on pregnancy and maternity care. It's associated with the Archdiocese of Chicago.

The clinic would need a special use permit to operate.

The meeting is set for 6:30 p.m. at village hall, 2 Community Blvd. It will be televised on local cable channels 17 and 99, too.
