Naperville's Our Saviour's Church donates over $8,000 for those affected by recent tornadoes

On June 20, a tornado ripped through the Naperville community. A local elementary school in an affected area reached out to the community looking for gift cards to help the families in need of assistance that were impacted by the tornado.

Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Naperville responded to the call.

"On behalf of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, through the generosity of our church community, we would like to present Ranch View Community Assistance with a variety of dining, hardware, and grocery store gift cards worth over $8,000," Pastor Brian Wise said. "It is our hope that these gift cards will, in some small way, help ease the burden of those impacted by the recent tornado. Our church will continue to pray for all the families who have been impacted by the devastation."

Ranch View Elementary School is still accepting gift card donations to major retailers and restaurants to help those affected by the tornado.

Those that are interested in donating gift cards can drop them off at Ranch View Elementary, 1651 Ranchview Drive, Naperville, IL 60565, from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday to Friday.

Our Saviour's Lutheran Church is a vibrant faith community that has been an integral part of the Naperville Community for over 60 years.
