How to ensure fair elections nationwide

I thoroughly agree with Mr. Ebels-Duggan regarding fair maps. However, until the Republican-led states do the same I feel it is too dangerous for the nation to have only a few states playing fair. As seen with the number of restrictive voting laws being enacted by those states, they are very far from playing fair.

If only there were some way to have all states follow even a bare minimum of rules governing fair elections. Oh, wait, there is. There are two bills before the U.S. Senate that do exactly that. Unfortunately, Republicans are preventing them from being passed. I wonder how Mr. Ebels-Duggan views them.
