Drop the dog and go vegan
The annual hot dog-eating contest is not a sport. It's rooted in depravity, gluttony and cruelty. No animals should be inhumanely slaughtered to placate palates and assuage appetites. If the meat consumed is vegan and cruelty-free then the contest can be sanctioned as civilized, green and serene. Eschewing flesh-foods is the right thing to do.
