Shirley's Piano Bar celebrates its reopening in downtown Barrington

The Barrington Area Chamber of Commerce and the village of Barrington gathered for a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday, June 15, to celebrate the reopening of Shirley's Piano Bar at 104 N. Cook St. in Barrington.

"We are so excited to be reopening in downtown Barrington," said owner Chris Bauman, grandson of the venue's namesake, Shirley Engblom.

"My grandmother and her husband Verne, who was a talented musician, always hosted intimate gatherings in their home that included live music, drinks and laughter. We created Shirley's with that legacy in mind."

Shirley's Piano Bar offers live entertainment, alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages, and food options. All guests must be 21 years or older to enter.

Hours of operation are 4 p.m. to midnight Tuesdays through Thursdays; 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. Fridays; 2 p.m. to 2 a.m. Saturdays; and Sundays only for special events.
