The rich, powerful often escape justice

The news of Bill Cosby's release from prison is nothing new; if anything, almost expected.

Many assault victims will be nervous to come forth when they confront a rapist, only to be quiet and accept defeat. The irony of it all is this, when a corrupt person and/or a tarnished badge does their thing, another incident victim pays the price. Yes, the rich and powerful usually win, because the average person cannot afford to hire a legal team, go to court numerous times and present evidence, let alone stand before the corrupt celebrity or cop who denies any wrongdoing.

Pity the poor person who is nervous, knows little of the law and goes against the rich and powerful. Yes, Bill Cosby is free and cannot be retried and tarnished badges usually win. As the old saying goes - you snooze you lose and yes a powerful legal team beats the little average team who cannot afford lawyers.
