Living wage is key to crime problem
Let's not defund the police, that's stupid; we need them for protection from lawbreakers and for public safety. But we should seriously transform their training to handle the homeless, those high on drugs and the emotionally distressed (the crazies if you will).
But the better most effective way of helping our police is to pay living wages to the entire population of our country, that is, those who work full time - 40 hours per week - especially heads of household. All races, all Americans, no exceptions. All who are subject to paying taxes or serving in our military among the immigrants here illegally, or not. No exceptions.
Blame corporate greed, union busters and employers who do not pay living wages for the terrible street violence America is experiencing. Blame especially those who don't pay their fair share of taxes to support our government that tolerates and disgustingly protects their lack of responsibility.
I said living wages, not minimum wages. There's a big difference.
