Naperville pastor to serve on Lutheran World Federation's Interfaith Forum

Pastor Brian Wise of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Naperville, IL was recently elected to serve on the Interfaith Forum for the Action of Justice Team within the Lutheran World Federation.

Pastor Brian was nominated by Bishop Yehiel Curry from The Metropolitan Chicago Synod and Kathryn Lohre from the Office of the Presiding Bishop Elizabeth Eaton, Presiding Bishop of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.

According to www.lutheranworld.org, the Lutheran World Federation is a global communion of 148 churches in the Lutheran tradition, representing over 77 million Christians in 99 countries.

The Interfaith Forum is being formed to coordinate and support the engagement of Lutheran World Federation member churches in the work of Action for Justice on climate justice and on interfaith and peace.

Pastor Brian will be serving with other Lutheran leaders from all around the world and be the representative for the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
