Deceptive purchases reported in Des Plaines

Someone deceptively used a credit card to make $5,000 worth of purchases at a Des Plaines business last week, police said.

The purchases occurred July 1 or 2 at a business on the 600 block of Northwest Highway.

The person who made the purchases picked up the items personally, police said.

No other details were available.
