Missing Palatine Township boy located safely

A 12-year-old Palatine Township boy reported missing Tuesday afternoon has been located safely, Cook County sheriff's police said.

Aiden Lesean Hamilton went missing after leaving his home in the 1200 block of Woodbury Lane, northwest of the Route 53 interchange at Route 12, shortly before 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to the sheriff's office.

The sheriff's office reported late Wednesday night that he had been located. Authorities did not provide further information about the circumstances of him being found.
