St. Charles Kiwanis accepts grant applications through Aug. 2

The St. Charles Kiwanis Club is accepting grant applications for the current fiscal year which begins Oct. 1.

The mission of Kiwanis is serving the children of the world, and the club awards grants to organizations that

benefit children who are in need in St. Charles and/or St. Charles Unit District 303.

Applications can be downloaded from the club's website, kiwanisofstcharles.org, and the deadline for submission is Monday, Aug. 2.

The St. Charles Kiwanis club members host fundraising activities to support grants awarded to 25-plus valued charities focused on children; mentor and serve the community with area high school Key Clubs; regular luncheons with speakers; and ongoing projects offering fulfilling service to the children in our community.

On Tuesday, June 15, the St. Charles Kiwanis Club held its first in-person weekly meeting since the pandemic began over a year ago. Twenty-six members returned to Baker Memorial United Methodist Church for the presentation from St. Charles Public Library Director Edith Craig. She shared information about the renovation and expansion project currently underway at the library.

They welcome new member requests. Learn more at www.kiwanisofstcharles.org or www.facebook.com/StCharlesKiwanis/.
