Naperville Lions install new officers

At its annual installation dinner on June 15, new officers of the Naperville Noon Lions Club and Foundation were installed for the 2021-22 fiscal year by Lion Jim Kizer, Lions District 1-J Vice Governor and member of the Darien Lions Club.

Lion Bob Hull takes over as president after a successful year under the leadership of Lion Donna Kearney. Hull is a 20-year member of the club and previously served as president in 2014-15.

In addition, to serving as president this fiscal year, he is also chair of the club's publicity committee and member of the Turkey Trot Committee.

Other officers installed include Donna Kearney as immediate past president, Linda Strugalla and Tom Garvey as vice presidents, Jane Bowers as secretary, and Bill Bleecker as treasurer.

The Naperville Noon Lions Club serves children and adults with eye examinations, eye glasses and hearing examinations. Services are provided at no cost to those individuals who cannot afford this type of service. In the past fiscal year, 200 individuals were provided services at a cost of approximately $50,000.

In addition, grants and donations are provided to other organizations for research and education to assist low vision and hearing-impaired individuals.
