Closing prices for crude oil, gold and other commodities

Benchmark U.S. crude oil for August delivery fell 7 cents to $75.16 a barrel Friday. Brent crude oil for September delivery rose 33 cents to $76.17 a barrel.

Wholesale gasoline for August delivery rose 3 cents to $2.30 a gallon. August heating rose 2 cents to $2.18 a gallon. August natural gas rose 4 cents to $3.70 per 1,000 cubic feet.

Gold for August delivery rose $6.50 to $1,783.30 an ounce. Silver for September delivery rose 40 cents to $26.50 an ounce and September copper rose 4 cents to $4.28 a pound.

The dollar fell to 111.06 Japanese yen from 111.63 yen. The euro rose to $1.1868 from $1.1841.
