Lincolnshire's ready to party with Red, White, & BOOM!

The village of Lincolnshire's annual Fourth of July celebration, "Red, White, & BOOM!," returns with in-person, modified activities occurring throughout the village on Sunday, July 4.

The primary activities of Red, White, & BOOM! take place at North Park from 4:30-8:30 p.m. The activities will cater to a wide range of age groups and interests, including live music, a car show, bingo, food and beverages, entertainment such as balloon and bubble artists, and other activities attendees can enjoy at their leisure (e.g., use of athletic fields, playground equipment, tennis/pickleball courts).

"The village board of trustees is excited to bring Red, White, & BOOM! back to Lincolnshire after canceling last year due to COVID-19," Mayor Elizabeth J. Brandt said. "This beloved community event will be the village's first large, in-person event since December 2019, and we're thrilled to be able to come together as a community and celebrate with friends and neighbors again."

Additionally, the 39th annual 5K race will be hosted by the Rotary Club of Lincolnshire at 8 a.m., and the Red, White, & BOOM! parade will began at 11 a.m. Both the 5K and parade will follow their traditional routes near Spring Lake Park.

Red, White, & BOOM! will conclude with a fireworks show at 9:30 p.m. The fireworks will be fired at a higher elevation so more residents can view them from their homes. The village plans to release a map of viewing locations around the village for those residents who cannot see the fireworks show from their home.

The village will follow COVID-19 public health guidelines in place during the Fourth of July weekend.

North Park is at 1025 Riverwoods Road. For details, including participation in the 5K or car show, visit www.lincolnshireil.gov.
