Bartlett police to assist with fireworks traffic July 2

The Bartlett Police Department will provide traffic control assistance at certain intersections along South Bartlett Road and Stearns Road immediately after the fireworks display on the evening of Friday, July 2.

The Bartlett Fourth of July Fireworks Extravaganza is scheduled to start at 9:30 p.m. and finish about 10 p.m. at Apple Orchard Park near the intersection of South Bartlett and Stearns roads.

This annual community event draws thousands of spectators. All vehicles exiting onto South Bartlett Road north of Stearns Road will be directed northbound toward Devon Avenue. All vehicles exiting onto South Bartlett Road, south of Stearns Road, will be directed southbound toward Schick Road.

All vehicles exiting onto Stearns Road, west of South Bartlett Road, will be directed westbound toward Route 59. All vehicles exiting onto Stearns Road, east of South Bartlett Road, will be directed eastbound toward County Farm Road.

Temporary no parking signs will also be posted on several residential streets near Apple Orchard Park to allow police and fire vehicles to respond to emergency calls for service.
