Trinity Lutheran celebrates 15 decades in downtown Huntley

This year, Trinity Lutheran Church in Huntley is celebrating its 150th anniversary.

The founding members of Trinity Lutheran Church gathered in 1871, seven months after the Great Chicago Fire. The original church building was completed in 1874 on property donated by Thomas S. Huntley. Its successor on the same site was dedicated in 1958.

Trinity's sanctuary was extensively refurbished in 2020.

Plans are underway for additional work to improve accessibility and comfort for all who enter.

The on-site TLC preschool, born in 1993, continues to serve dozens of local families with its half-day program for 3- and 4-year old students.

Join worship at Trinity Lutheran, 11008 N. Church St., on Sundays at 8 or 10:30 a.m.
