Prince of Peace UMC to host viewing show for Itasca's fireworks July 4

The Itasca fireworks display will be on Sunday, July 4, at 10 p.m. This year's display will not include the normal pre-fireworks music festival and food trucks at Hamilton Lakes as in year's past.

However, as in year's past, the Prince of Peace United Methodist Church at the corner of Devon and Arlington Heights Roads will provide parking and a good viewing spot for local residents.

Starting at 7:30 p.m., you may enter the church parking area off the Devon entrance and park for a donation of $10.

This year, you and your family may pick a spot on the church grounds to set up your chairs and blankets to stay and watch the fireworks. The church main floor washroom will remain open for paid guests until the fireworks start. Alcoholic beverages are prohibited. The many church volunteers ask that you take any trash home with you, as there will be no trash receptacles provided.
