Kane County opens third drop-off recycling center
Kane County is opening a new drop-off recycling center Monday at 911 N. Lake St. (Route 31), in Aurora.
The facility will take electronics, small appliances, microwave ovens, clothing and scrap metal. There is a fee for recycling television sets and computer monitors, but the other items are free.
It will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. It is open to residents of any county and to businesses. Business representatives will have to provide proof of the business, such as a business card. Workers can help unload materials.
