Sugar Grove Township hosts Property Assessment and Exemption Open House June 23

The Sugar Grove Township Assessor's Office will host a Property Assessment and Exemption Open House on Wednesday, June 23, from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Sugar Grove Township Community Building, 141 Main St. in Sugar Grove.

State Sen. Karina Villa will be attending to discuss Illinois HB3289 - Property tax exemptions.

Topics will include: the composition of assessed property in Sugar Grove Township; property tax exemptions; property assessments; property assessment appeal process; and request for property assessment review

The Assessor's office will assist property owners with questions related to their property and in the preparation of the Senior Freeze applications due July 1, 2021.

Documents needed are the 2020 income tax return and supporting documents used to prepare the income tax return.
