Glen Ellyn library seminar tackles affordable housing issues
The Glen Ellyn Public Library will host a virtual seminar on affordable housing from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday.
Village President Mark Senak and other village board members have cited access to affordable housing as a priority issue.
The state requires that 10% of a town's housing supply qualify as affordable.
The seminar will explain the definitions for affordable, accessible and supportive housing.
The program also was planned by the village and these groups: the Glen Ellyn League of Women Voters; One Community; ICNA Relief; DuPage United; Achieving Independence and Mobility Center for Independent Living; and Full Circle Communities.
