North Chicago man shot to death in Waukegan

A North Chicago man was found shot to death early Sunday in a car that crashed into a Waukegan building.

Officers responded about 4:45 a.m. to the 1600 block of 11th Street for a report of shots fired, according to a news release from the Waukegan Police Department.

They found a man in his 30s slumped over the steering wheel of a car that had crashed into a building. He died of an apparent gunshot wound, and his identity is being withheld until his family is notified.

There are no suspects in custody.
