Man accused of battery, indecency in Elmhurst pleads not guilty

A man accused of aggravated battery and public indecency in Elmhurst pleaded not guilty Wednesday, according to a news release from the DuPage County state's attorney's office.

Kelvin Brown, who is believed to be homeless with a last known address in Bellwood, was indicted by a grand jury May 27.

The indictment alleges Brown "made physical contact of an insulting and provoking nature with" the victim while at the Fitness Formula Club on Addison Avenue in Elmhurst on April 10. Brown also is alleged to have "performed a lewd exposure of the body ... while in a public place" April 12 at the Fitness Formula Club and Elmhurst Public Library.

Brown's next court appearance is set for June 28.
