St. Charles man faces attempted murder charge in stabbing

A 66-year-old St. Charles man has been charged with attempted murder after he stabbed another man in the neck Saturday afternoon, police said.

Randy L. Wilson was arguing with the victim outside an apartment building in the 1400 block of South 14th Street when he went inside his home, returned with a knife and stabbed the victim, according to a news release from St. Charles police.

The victim, a 38-year-old man, was transported to Delnor Hospital and is stable.

Police responded to the scene at 3:46 p.m. and arrested Wilson. He is also charged with two counts of aggravated battery.

Wilson's bond hearing is set for today.
