Naperville police searching for suspect in 7-Eleven robbery
Naperville police say they are searching for a suspect in the overnight robbery of a convenience store on the northwest side of town.
Officers responded about 12:16 a.m. Thursday to the 7-Eleven at 1663 N. Route 59, where a man entered the store and demanded the clerk give him money, cigarettes and electronics, according to a news release.
The suspect, described as a Black man in his early 20s, implied he had a weapon but one was not seen, officials said. He left the store before police arrived and was last seen walking north.
The clerk was not injured.
An investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to contact Naperville police at (630) 420-6665 and ask for the investigations division.
