Aurora Advent Church to host vacation Bible school June 7-11
Advent Christian Church, 905 N. Edgelawn Drive in Aurora, is hosting “Discovery on Adventure Island,” a five-day, in-person vacation bible school June 7-11.
The school for children from preschool through fifth grade will be offered from 9 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Monday through Friday outdoors, weather permitting. A closing program will be held at 6 p.m. Friday. Music, crafts and snacks are among activities planned.
The Rev. Matt Mull, senior pastor, said the public is invited. COVID-19 precautions will be followed, including facial masks and hand sanitizer use when children enter.
Most activities will be held outdoors. Indoor activities will be socially distanced in well-ventilated areas. Snacks will be prepackaged.
Registration is $7 per child or a maximum of $20 for a family. Registrations are being accepted on the church website, AuroraAdvent.org. Registration will also be accepted at the door on the first day of school.
Aurora Advent Christian Church offers Bible-based worship and fellowship. Worship is held in person at 10 a.m. Sundays via video stream. Communion elements are prepackaged.
