Mike D'Aquila and Benjamin Voigt of Heritage Planning Partners Earn Advanced Wealth Management Credential

Wealth Management Advisors Michael D'Aquila and Benjamin Voigt, co-founders of Heritage Planning Partners, a Northwestern Mutual Private Client Group firm, have earned the Certified Private Wealth Advisor (CPWA) certification from the Investments & Wealth Institute.

"We are proud of Mike and Ben, whose growth mindset challenges them to be the best version of themselves for their clients," said Corey D. McQuade, managing partner of Northwestern Mutual-Chicago. "This is yet one more step in their professional development that recognizes their integrity and expertise in serving the unique considerations of their affluent clients through comprehensive planning."

Advisors who earn the CPWA certification learn to identify and analyze challenges high-net-worth individuals face and understand how to develop specific strategies to minimize taxes, monetize and protect assets, maximize growth, and transfer wealth. During the certification process, CPWA candidates gain a specialized skillset geared toward the lifecycle of wealth: accumulation, preservation, and distribution.

D'Aquila joined Northwestern Mutual in 2003 and has grown his practice focusing on the needs of professionals in financial services, capital markets, and real estate.

In addition to a BA in Finance from Loyola University Chicago, D'Aquila holds the Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), and Wealth Management Certified Professional (WMCP) designations.

Voigt joined Northwestern Mutual in 2001 and specializes in working with retirees and pre-retirees and people in consulting and private equity.

In addition to a BA in Psychology from the University of Notre Dame, Voigt holds the Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Retirement Income Certified Professional (RICP), and Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designations.

In 2016, D'Aquila and Voigt joined with Adam Waitzman, CLU, to form Heritage Planning Partners, a Northwestern Mutual Private Client Group firm based in Chicago. Learn more at https://heritageplanningpartners.nm.com/
