Batavia Chamber names Inspire Scholarship winners

The Batavia Chamber of Commerce recently announced the winners of the "Inspire Scholarships."

The four students are members of the 2021 Batavia High School graduating class.

The financial award of $500 will be paid directly to the institute the recipient will be attending.

This year's awards go to:

• Inspiring Entrepreneurship: Sasha Nahorski, who will be attending Iowa State University;

• Inspiring Women in Business: Grace Krohse, who will be attending Belmont University;

• Inspiring Career & Technical Achievers: Ellie Ditchman, who will be attending Ferris State University;

• Inspiring Contributors to a Batavia Chamber Business: Evelyn Schmitz, who will be attending Ball State University.

All proceeds from our Inspire event's mega summer fun raffle goes toward the scholarship fund.

Tickets are available for $20 each and can be purchased through the Inspire event registration at www.bataviachamber.org or call the Batavia Chamber of Commerce at (630) 879-7134. Tickets can also be purchased at the event.
