Walk-in vaccinations at Lake County Fairgounds

Starting May 1, the Lake County Fairgrounds at 1060 E. Peterson Road in Grayslake, will offer walk-in COVID-19 vaccinations five days a week, county health officials announced.

Walk-in hours are: noon to 3 p.m. on Mondays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, and 2 to 5 p.m. on Wednesdays.

Anyone ages 16 and older who lives in Illinois or works in Lake County can get a free COVID-19 vaccine at a Lake County Health Department site. Minors ages 16-17 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian to receive their vaccine.

Walk-in availability is based on the number of vaccine doses available and the number of people walking in each day. If no openings be available, staff on-site can assist people in registering and scheduling an appointment for a later date. Scheduling an appointment through Lake County AllVax Portal guarantees a vaccine and appointment time.

Register for the vaccine and schedule an appointment at https://AllVax.lakecohealth.org or call (847) 377-8130.
