2 dogs rescued from Aurora house fire

A home in the 800 block of Spring Street in Aurora was damaged Wednesday afternoon by a fire in the kitchen, according to the Aurora Fire Department.

Firefighters rescued two dogs from the home. Nobody was injured.

The house was deemed uninhabitable due to smoke damage throughout. Damage is estimated at $150,000.

City officials and the American Red Cross assisted the residents. The cause of the fire has not been determined.
