Make leaders listen

Thanks so much for your op-ed, "Local signs we are living through the climate emergency" (April 12). The writer, Scott Buckley, reminded us that the climate crisis is not far away but right here, in our local communities. And it will continue to rack up costs - for us and for our children - if we don't take action now to slow the greenhouse gas emissions that are warming our planet.

I've already sent letters this week to my members of Congress and to President Biden, begging them to take bold action NOW, including putting a price on carbon pollution. If every Daily Herald reader does the same thing, they might have to listen to us.
