Shameful rejection
Fifty-four percent of the voters in Winfield Fire District should be ashamed of themselves for rejecting a tax increase for the third straight election. What is it about the common good which you not understand?
Tragedy could occur due to unnecessary delay. Voting "no" to improved fire safety is very shortsighted. If you "o" voters ever have to call 911 for an emergency, I hope you feel some guilt when the Winfield Fire Department responds to your call. You didn't respond to theirs.
