Pay raise for Des Plaines city manager

Des Plaines City Manager Mike Bartholomew is getting a pay raise.

The city council on Monday unanimously agreed to boost Bartholomew's base pay by more than 6% to roughly $249,985 annually, up from about $234,993.

Bartholomew has led the city staff since 2012. Mayor Matthew Bogusz praised Bartholomew for the work he's done and the consistency he's brought to the office. Bartholomew thanked the council after the vote.
