Faulty logic on guns
Tom Stanfa's lengthy letter "Why are politicians so focused on gun deaths?" follows the same faulty logic that Trump supporters and others have recently been using in lieu of the usual "stance" that any gun controls will be the "slippery slope" that will end in the repeal of the Second Amendment, another faulty argument. There is no reason (not even in faulty-logic) that anyone should have automatic/assault weapons or slip through the "gun show loopholes" only to obtain guns to act out their deranged anger.
And, to answer that question that really needs no answer ... murders and mass shootings are not accidents.
