Friends of Judson to hold garage sale May 7-8

The Friends of Judson University is having their annual garage sale on Friday and Saturday, May 7-8, at the First Baptist Church in Elgin.

All proceeds will go to scholarships for worthy students at Judson University.

The Friends of Judson University is a nonprofit organization, which has as its mission to enhance the quality of student life on Judson's campus and to raise funds for scholarships for worthy students, as well as, advance community interest in Judson University and in the students who attend.

The sale will be 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, May 7, and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 8, at the church, 1735 W. Highland Ave.

If you would like to donate items to the garage sale, donations will be accepted on Wednesday and Thursday, May 5-6, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the church.

They are especially looking for nice furniture, bicycles, lawn care items, tools, dishes, linens, books, plants, children and adult clothing, toys, jewelry and electronics. Please no TV's.

There will be a wide range of items for sale, including furniture, tools, children's toys, house wares, linens and bedding, seasonal items, books, jewelry, clothing for adults, and children, and many more miscellaneous items.

Because of the pandemic, the group was not able to hold the sale so they will have lots more to offer than in previous years.
