Route 176 bridge work begins Monday in Libertyville

Repairs to the Route 176 (Park Avenue) bridge over the Des Plaines River in Libertyville will begin, weather permitting, Monday, April 19.

Route 176 from Hough Street to Ashbury Lane in Libertyville will be reduced to one-way traffic controlled by a temporary signal during the repairs to the bridge deck and structure.

The North Shore Bike Path will be closed at the bridge and a detour will be posted for bicyclists. The project is expected to be complete in mid-July.
