Respect the truth

The Daily Herald occasionally prints opinion letters which do not support the facts and by doing so gives credence to these untruths. Case in point, a recent paper printed a letter that stated that Georgia's new "voter suppression laws" will close polls at 5 p.m, when in fact the polls will still be open to 7 p.m. Also, distribution of water to Georgia voters will continue to be allowed, only that it can not be a means to electioneer. By publishing such a letter, you are giving support to known lies such as these. The media needs to give more respect to valid efforts to reform loose ends in our election process, not give in to partisan agendas.
