Arlington Heights Senior Center extends offer of free tax preparation
With the IRS extending the filing date for taxes to May 17, AARP Tax Aide volunteers have also extended their free tax filing service at the Arlington Heights Senior Center to April 29.
The program, which prioritizes low-income adults ages 65 and older, is a two-appointment process. At the first, the taxpayer will visit the senior center to have necessary financial documents scanned. The second appointment will be to sign and the return, when then will be e-filed. .
The senior center continues to keep patrons safe and healthy by limiting the amount of time to process the return.
To make an appointment, contact the Arlington Heights Senior Center at (847) 253-5532. The center is located at 1801 W. Central Road in Arlington Heights.
