Life Spine gains approval for 200th patent
HUNTLEY - Life Spine, a medical device company that develops products for the surgical treatment of spinal disorders, said it has received approval of its 200th patent.
"Our strong intellectual property position and (research and development) dedication allows us to serve our customers with the best performing products possible," said Michael Butler, Life Spine president and CEO.
With its 200th granted patent, Life Spine has one of the highest patent outputs per employee in the industry, he said.
Life Spine's portfolio of 265 patents and patent applications creates a strong position around expandable technology, the company said. These surgical implants and procedures expand spine joints to relieve pressure.
Life Spine's product pipeline and clinical research efforts continue to increase to meet the needs of physicians and their patients, the company said.
