Grains mixed, livestock higher
CHICAGO (AP) - Grain futures were mixed on Friday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade. Wheat for May was off 2.75 cents at $6.1075 a bushel; May corn rose 5.75 cents at $5.4825 a bushel; May oats was unchanged at $3.7450 a bushel; while May soybeans fell 5.25 cents at $14.0875 a bushel.
Beef and pork were higher on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
Apr. live cattle was up .17 cent at $1.1977 a pound; Apr. feeder cattle gained 8.40 cents at $1.4455 a pound; April lean hogs rose 1.52 cents at 1.0007 a pound.
