All escape Long Grove house fire OK
A single-family home caught fire in Long Grove Saturday afternoon, officials said.
The Countryside Fire Protection District responded to reports of a fire on the 6000 block of Lakeridge Drive about 1:30 p.m., according to a news release from the fire protection district.
Crews found a fire on the roof of the home and watered the outside of the house before entering to extinguish it inside, the news release said.
The people inside the home were able to evacuate before crews arrived and nobody was injured, officials said.
The home is uninhabitable and the cause is still under investigation.
