Immigration hypocrisy

We have a president who addressed the nation a week ago and said that all adults would be "eligible" for the coronavirus vaccine by May 1. He said this was not a time to ignore the rules and we should put our trust in the government. He said the government is not "a foreign force in a distant capital. No it's us, all of us. We the people." If this about all of us "We the people," why did he stop construction of the border wall and encourage illegal immigrants to cross the border when the situation was under control until he took office. He is endangering every citizen in this country by allowing illegal immigrants with the COVID virus and other diseases into this country. It's also been noted that illegal immigrants from other countries that could have ties to enemies of this country are also coming across our open borders. This president took an oath to protect the citizens of this country and is doing nothing but promoting the policies of the left-wing part of the Democratic Party.
