Churches partner to hand out Easter baskets to families served by food pantry

Families served by the Most Blessed Trinity Parish's food pantry in Waukegan received a special Easter treat on Wednesday, March 17.

The pantry gave out 100 Easter baskets to families during the parish's weekly food pantry hours.

As part of an Easter Sharing Project, families of St. Mary's Catholic Parish in Lake Forest donated the baskets. Besides containing seasonal candies and chocolates, the baskets were filled with full-sized hand sanitizer, body soap, lotion, shampoo, toothbrushes and toothpaste. The items were wrapped in cellophane and placed in colored baskets topped with bows.
